The mobile application for catch reporting at sea is one of the effective fisheries management tools of the electronic ASEAN Catch Documentation Scheme (eACDS) developed by SEAFDEC to enhance ASEAN Member States on traceability of fish and fishery products that entry to the regional supply chains. The application will function in both of online and offline modes which will be helpful and friendly for users like fishing master to operate for at sea reporting of data and information such as date/time, position of fishing operation, quantity of catch by species.
Using the registered mobile phone, fishing master can record and report their catch and vessel location via the eACDS mobile application either online and/or offline modes. Those information will be transmitted to the cloud server whenever the cellular signal is accessible.
The Mobile Application is applied not only for fishing vessels but also carrier vessels to ensure that all catch are recorded properly and to avoid miss reporting.
