Training on the Evaluation Approaches of Artificial Reefs Installation

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Regional Training Course on the Evaluation Approaches of Artificial Reefs Installation to Enhance Marine Resources: Case Study of Fish Enhancing Devices (FEDs)” back-to-back with the “Seminar on Resource Enhancement in Southeast Asian Region from 27 to 28 and 29 August 2024 respectively, at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. The Survey and Consultation Meeting to Define EAFM Learning Site for EAFM Implementation in Thailand

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Project End Meeting on Responsible Fishing Technology and Practice” from 19 to 21 August 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Meeting aimed to summarize project implementation from 2020-2024, sharing and exchanging the ongoing activities and ideas on responsible fishing and technology practices. SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Regional Workshop on Compilation of Lesson Learned on the Project: Small-scale Fisheries for Better Livelihood and Fisheries Resource and Fisheries Resource” from 5 to 7 August 2024, at Krabi Province, Thailand. SEAFDEC/TD impart knowledge on gender mainstreaming in fisheries to KU students

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) by Ms.Jariya Sornkliang, Fisheries Management Scientist and Gender Expertise imparted knowledge on gender mainstreaming in fisheries to 17 students (15 Females and 2 Males) who study fishery management from the faculty of fisheries, Kasetsart University. The lecture focused on gender concepts, gender mainstreaming, and its tools, and gender integration in fisheries. SEAFDEC/TD Joins Fisheries Fair

The Pramong Nomklao Fair with the theme “Aquatic Arena” was organized by the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Thailand from 28 June to 7 July 2024 at the Future Park Shopping Mall in Pathumthani Province, Thailand. The Fair has been held annually since 1986 to impart knowledge relevant to fisheries to the public. The income generated from the Fair is donated to the cancer research of the Chulabhorn Research Institute. M.V. SEAFDEC Mission in the Gulf of Thailand

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) Collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Thailand, and PTTEP International Limited conducted the collaborative research survey in the Gulf of Thailand by utilization of M.V. SEAFDEC from 23 June to 22 July 2024.
