The Small-scale Fisheries Management for Better Livelihood and Fisheries Resources project team from the SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) conducted the data collection on the status of fisheries socio-economic assistance in line with the implementation of Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) guidelines in the pilot learning site of Ranong Province from 5 to 11 October 2020. The aims to generate baseline information on the demography and socio-economic condition through better understanding of situation and need for develop the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) plan. The data was collected by interviewing the small-scale fishers at Ban Hat Sai Khao village Kampuan Sub-district, Suk Samran District of Ranong Province. There were 42 respondents (30 male and 12 female) who are the boat owner and engage in fisheries. Moreover, the data validation workshop was organized on 10 October 2020 to present the results of the survey to the community members and look for their feedback. In addition, the results of the survey could be used for comparing the change in the area after project implementation.
