Online Regional Training on Fish Handling Techniques on Fishing Vessels

The Online Regional Training Course of Fish Handling Techniques Onboard Fishing Vessels was organized by the SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) from 12 to 13 May 2021 via zoom platform. There were 11 participants (8 males and 3 females) from ASEAN Member States (AMSs) who have relevant work experiences on fish handling and capable to transfer the knowledge gains from the training program and ways forward for the improvement of fish handling in the respective area attended in the online training. Within this online training, the participants gained and increased knowledge from lecture, online demonstration, and discussion which aims to build up their capacity and experiences in these mentioned subjects. After the completion of the training program, the participants expected to enhance technical knowledge and practical skills on the reduction of post-harvest losses through improve awareness of hygiene and good practices of fish handling on-board to the Southeast Asian fishing Fleet.
