Training Course on Data Collection and Bio-Statistic for Fishery

SEAFDEC/TD organized the “Regional Training Course on Data Collection and Bio-Statistic for Fishery” from 3 to 5 August 2023 in SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. The training’s main aim is to build the capacity of human resources from AMSs on the standard data collection procedures and bio-statistic for the fishery. A lecturer from Kasetsart University, Dr. Thanitha Darbanandana was invited as a resource person. Twenty-seven participants who are fishery officers and/or researchers from ASEAN Member States (AMSs), TD, and MFRDMD attended this training.  In the end, the knowledge of data collection and fishery bio-statistic of participants was improved. Moreover, the network of human resources in the region on data collection, fishery biology, and stock assessment was strengthened. This training is an activity under the project “Sustainable Utilization of Fisheries Resources and Resources Enhancement in Southeast Asia”.
